FIREWIND’s Gus G. has checked in to comment about the song as follows: “Usually bands will brag about how they recorded their "fastest song ever"! Well, we're proud to say that this is our slowest song ever and probably our heaviest one. With that said, "Losing My Mind" has lots of different musical parts, tempo changes, thrashy grooves, cool leads, etc. Anyways, check out the song and I hope you bang your head while listening to it!”

FIREWIND UNVEIL ARTWORK FOR NEW ALBUM "FEW AGAINST MANY"; LAUNCH FINAL EPISODE OF ONLINE STUDIO REPORT!
Greek melodic metallers FIREWIND, lead by guitar wizard and Ozzy Osbourne band-member Gus G., have recently finished working on their newest studio effort “Few Against Many”. Mixed by Jason Suecof & Eyal Levi at Audiohammer Studios (Trivium, All That Remains, Death Angel, etc.) in Orlando, Florida, the European release date for the album has been announced for May 21st, 2012 via Century Media Records.
The iconic front cover artwork for “Few Against Many” has now been revealed and can be seen above. The artwork was once again by FIREWIND’s longtime partner in all design matters, Gustavo Sazes (Arch Enemy, Angra, Dream Evil, etc.), who has been working with the band since the release of the album “The Premonition”.
Gus G. has checked in to comment on the artwork as follows: “Once again we worked with the amazing Brazilian artist Gustavo Sazes. He's one of the best out there and he really understands what FIREWIND’s all about. I feel he really captured the vibe and darkness of the new album and I love the different elements on it such as the Japanese samurai war flags and the flaming statue.”

Greek melodic metallers Firewind, featuring acclaimed guitarist Gus G (Ozzy Osbourne) are excited to announce a new distribution deal for North America. Joining forces with DisManic Distribution via E1 Music, Firewind’s hotly anticipated new album ‘Few Against Many’ will be the first release of this partnership, due May 22nd.
Band driving force Gus G commented “I'm very excited about this new partnership! While we've been around for sometime, North American territory is relatively new ground for us. And since the music industry is changing drastically these days, we felt we should be more in control on our new release. We are fortunate to have a great team behind us for our N. Firewind’s reputation as one of Europe’s premier metal bands was further cemented after the release of the critically lauded ‘Days Of Defiance’ which saw the band tour the world including festival appearances at Sonisphere UK, Graspop and Hellfest, support slots in Greece with Judas Priest & Scorpions and successful headline tours in Europe, Japan and N. America.
Produced by Gus G, ‘Few Against Many’, was recorded with long time band mates vocalist Apollo Papathansio, Bob Katsionis (keyboards/guitar) and bassist Petros Christo at "Valve Studio" in Greece as well as "The Sweetspot Studios" in Sweden and sees the band expand on their signature melodic sound with some of their most aggressive songs to date.
‘Few Against Many’ marks the recording debut of new Firewind drummer Johan Nunez (Nightrage). The young Belgian is regarded by Gus as a ‘phenomenal talent’, and anyone that witnessed him on the band’s ‘Defiance...’ world tour will no doubt agree.

Gus G. wins "Best Shredder" Award at UK Metal Hammer's Golden Gods 2011; Summer festival campaign kicking off this weekend; Touring Europe and North America soon!

FIREWIND Announces Their “Frets of Fury” Headlining North American Fall Tour; Gus G. Comments On The Tour and Special VIP Ticketing Options
The Greek metallic powerhouse FIREWIND, led by the modern day guitar hero Gus G, is extremely excited to announce their first ever headlining North American tour, dubbed the “Frets of Fury.” This package (sponsored by ESP Guitars, BlackStar Amps and Guitar World) kicks off on Oct. 9th and features a wide array of metal's elite: Arsis, White Wizzard and Nightrage. Gus G. states: “We couldn’t be happier to announce our first full North American tour! It’s been over three years since FIREWIND toured from coast to coast across the U.S. and we’re coming back stronger than ever with a killer package. We put a lot of thought into who we wanted to go out with us and truly believe that each band on this bill brings something special to the table making this a very diverse line-up. However, shredding guitar driven metal remains the prominent feature across the board.
“In fact there’s more to it than just that, as this package is somewhat of a musical family tree. Not many people know this but Arsis’ guitarist James Malone and I went to Berklee together back in 1998. We had an instrumental band together for awhile, which later became FIREWIND. James is a kick ass shredder and I’m glad our bands are finally touring together.
“Also, most people don't know that I played in Nightrage for few years. I did two albums with them and their main-man Marios Iliopoulos is a phenomenal guitar player. He also filled in on bass for FIREWIND this year, when Petros was unable to tour. Nightrage is one of my favorite bands and you definitely got to come down early to check them out. White Wizzard are currently making noise worldwide and they’re definitely a band to watch out for as well. We’re proud to have these great bands on board with us, making this such a high quality package for all metal fans.

Gus G. Announces Guitar Center "Sessions" Hollywood Performance On 4/21; Free To The Public!!
There is no doubt that one of the most stunning guitar players in the hard rock/metal scene right now is Gus G. (Ozzy, Firewind) and he is proud to be partnering up with Guitar Center for an upcoming "Sessions" event. This three hour instructional seminar will take place on Thursday, April 21st at Guitar Center Hollywood beginning at 7PM. This is a free event, but space is limited so be sure to get there early so you don"t miss out on this very intimate evening. Fans can expect to see Gus perform lots of his favorite riffs, participate in a Q+A segment and autograph signing.
