For packages entering the U.S., the recipient is generally responsible for all import duties, taxes, and fees.
Recipient Responsibility: The buyer/recipient is responsible for any VAT, tariffs, duties, handling fees, or customs clearance charges required by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). These are not collected by the seller beforehand, and the seller cannot estimate the cost, as charges vary based on the item's value and country of origin.
Refusal of Delivery: If a package is refused by the customer due to unexpected charges, the original shipping cost is non-refundable, and the customer may be responsible for return shipping costs. The product cost, minus any return fees, may be refunded once the item is returned to the warehouse.
New Regulations: As of September 1, 2025, a significant change in U.S. law means the prior $800 duty exemption for most goods has been removed, making most orders subject to duties and entry fees.
